Health Insurance
Make sure and check with your health insurance providers. Laws require most insurance policies to cover an adopted baby's medical costs. Most insurance plans also reimburse costs ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. Call your health insurance provider.
Employment/Corporations
Check with your current employer and see if adoption financial assistance is available. Contact your human resource deparment.
The Adoption Tax Credit
The Adoption tax credit allows you to write-off for adoption expenses. Call your tax consultant and check the latest Tax Credit.
Military Adoption Credit
Contact your military office to possibly receive a $2,000 reimbursement for adoption expenses.
Adoption State Subsidy
Contact your state to see what subsidies are available or visit your state's subsidy. It is important to note that some states offer a subsidy usually for special needs children. Find out how your state defines "special needs."
