A Guardian Angel Adoptions, LLC is a fully licensed adoption agency located in the state of Utah. It was founded by adoption professionals with a combined 20 years' experience in the field and who have together completed more than 330 adoptions.
In addition everyone at A Guardian Angel Adoptions, LLC has been touched by adoption in their own lives as adoptive mothers. These qualifications give us unique insight, compassion and love for Birth Mothers, Adoptive Families and especially Adopted Children.

Executive Director and Officer - Shelley Jo Dula
Shelley has several years of experience in the adoption field. She completed her graduate internship at the Department of Child and Family Services, Post Adoptions. Additionally, she has worked with birth parents, adoptive families, and adoption attorneys. Shelley received a Masters of Counseling, Mental Health Focus and is licensed with the Utah Division of Occupational Licensing as a Licensed Professional Counselor. She and her husband Jeff have two children. In addition to being a mother, Shelley loves to hike and read.

Director of Birth Mother Services and Officer - Lori A. Laird
Lori has several years of leadership experiences overseeing and supervising all aspects of the Birth Mother Service department. She has designed and implemented procedures of the Birth Mother department. She has created a unique kinship with over 2,000 birth mothers over the past four years. She has organized and completed a Sub-for-Santa program for hundreds of needy women and children in the inner-city projects each Christmas from 1999 to 2003. She is actively involved in the Families for African American Awareness support group since 1997. Lori is a member of UAC (Utah Adoption Council) and NACAC (North American Council on Adoptable Children.) She attended training at NACAC in 2004. Lori and her husband have six children. She loves to go camping and four wheeling with her family.

Director of Adoptive Family Services and Officer - Yvonne M. Johanson
Yvonne has several years of leadership experiences creating, overseeing and supervising all aspects of the Adoptive Family department. She has formed strong interagency relationships to help secure adoptive families. She has led 250 families and birth mothers through their adoption experience helping to establish a bond between the two. She is actively involved in the Primary Presidency of the Genesis Group as well as in Families for African American Awareness. Yvonne has also volunteered for the Ouelessebougou Utah Alliance. Yvonne is currently enrolled at the University of Phoenix working on her SSW and eventually her LPC. She has trained with NACAC and is a member of UAC, where she has presented at their annual workshop on “Parenting The Transracially Adopted Child”. Yvonne is married and the mother of four. Her greatest joy comes from parenting her children and seeing them grow . Yvonne loves to be on the water boating with her family. Yvonne is currently serving as the Utah Adoption Council President 2006-07.

Director of Financial Services and Officer - Kim P. Brown
Kim has several years of experience in the adoption field overseeing the finances. . Kim was responsible for accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and budgeting. Kim has her Master of Education degree in Instructional Technology from Utah State University 2005. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education/Administrative Systems with a minor in Business Administration from Utah State University 1985. This is Kim's 15 th year teaching Multimedia and Web Site Design courses at Salt Lake Community College. Kim and her husband, Michael, have three children. She loves to go camping, trail riding with her horses, swimming, and playing with her angels.
